Resolves an authored deployment's partition to its stored address segment:
the partition, else a deprecated tag, else 'default'. A tag must be a
valid partition and, when partition is also set, must equal it.
warnings holds one deprecation message, prefixed by subject, when a
tag is present; the caller decides where to show it.
